About the Job


We are seeking for a savvy problem-solver with a passion for unraveling financial mysteries? We are looking for a Senior control Analyst to join us in the fight for crime. If you're ready to apply your analytical skills and make a meaningful impact, while also managing millions of transactions we want to hear from you. As a control Manager you are an automatic member of Our Fraud Team where you will be responsible for managing the fraud systems which detect and prevent fraud globally. You will never have a dull day as we are launching new markets and products almost every week. This is a hands-on role where you get to block fraudsters - no security checklists or NPS reports required. In addition, you will influence how Ride does payments and payout which means your actions will affect how millions of people move. This position requires strong internal control experience, proficiency in implementing internal control frameworks and a deep understanding of internal controls over financial reporting. In this position you will cooperate with all internal teams within RideandRidel, including Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, Commerce, HR, and IT, to ensure compliance with the control framework and foster ownership and accountability at different levels of Ride and Ridel.

  • Diligently monitor and analyse suspicious behaviour and take suitable actions
  • Work with the engineering team to create and deploy new features for the Fraud Machine Learning system
  • Create reporting dashboards for measuring the fraud and risk behaviour
  • Evaluate new products and markets and provide input on how to manage risk
  • Deal with escalations from the customers and city teams
  • Balance the fraud risk with the Ride business interests
  • Keep yourself updated with the latest trends in fraud and payments
  • Conduct the risk assessment and determine accounts, processes and IT systems in scope.
  • Promotes and coordinates any necessary updates to the internal control compliance program in response to changes in business, organisation, scoping, testing results and/or other reasons.
  • Defines the testing methodology and testing strategy, including the definition of deadlines and, when necessary, specific instructions for Control Owners and Internal Audit regarding the internal control activities.
  • Support Control Owners and Heads of Function in their involvement in the internal control compliance program, particularly when updating control design.
  • Monitor the overall status of the internal control compliance program and provide periodic status updates to management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with Control Owners and Heads of Function in the development of policies and procedures and ensure that frequent reviews are taking place.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate Control Owners and Heads of Function about internal control policies and procedures.
  • Support Control Owners in the design and implementation of internal controls in line with Ride internal control compliance program.


You are Required

  • 2+ years of fraud related experience in e-commerce
  • 4+ years of experience as an analyst
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and superb work ethic
  • Self-motivated and also a strong team player
  • Hustler attitude - not stopping after 30 obstacles a day!
  • Excellent communication skills in English and your local official Language.
  • Ability to prioritise incoming request and make decisions based on fuzzy data
  • Strong general accounting/finance and internal controls experience. The minimum required experience for the role includes internal controls over financial reporting, entity-level and general IT controls.
  • Experience with Workday and/or other financial systems (ERP, consolidation tools and management reporting tools) is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of internal control frameworks and relevant regulations (e.g. IFRS, COSO, SOX, PCAOB).
  • Strong understanding of general accounting/finance and internal controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Intellectually curious and eager to learn and develop every day. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relations with internal stakeholders, executives and teams in a multicultural global entrepreneurial environment.
